Manager of Ocean Transportation

As Manager of Ocean Transportation, you will oversee international ocean freight operations from customer award through shipment execution and final delivery. This hands-on role focuses on coordinating diverse cargo movements, managing shipping documentation, and ensuring shipments progress efficiently and on schedule. You will work closely with Project Managers, ocean carriers, freight agents, customs brokers, and internal teams to keep transportation activities aligned with project requirements. You will also monitor shipment costs, anticipate operational risks, and resolve issues before they affect delivery timelines or budgets. The position offers the opportunity to take ownership of end-to-end ocean freight processes in a fully remote environment. It is particularly suited to an experienced logistics professional who enjoys operational coordination and problem-solving rather than employee management.
