People Program Manager, Payroll

Lead strategic payroll initiatives and strengthen the systems and processes that support a growing workforce in a mission-driven healthcare organization. In this role, you will combine program management expertise with deep technical knowledge of Workday Payroll, Absence Management, and Time Tracking. You will oversee complex multi-state payroll operations, promote regulatory compliance, and drive improvements that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and the team member experience. Working closely with People leadership, Finance, Accounting, Operations, and external vendors, you will translate business needs into scalable payroll solutions. You will also help develop team capabilities, guide cross-functional projects, and establish effective controls and performance measures.
