About Campfire Campfire is a next-gen core accounting platform built for modern mid-market finance teams. We’re building the future of ERP by replacing outdated systems and manual accounting processes with an AI-native platform that helps finance teams move faster and operate more efficiently.

About the role

You'll join Campfire's product marketing team as our second PMM, owning our core product capabilities (core accounting, GL, close, revenue).. You'll shape how we position and launch what we build, give Sales what they need to win, and bring the market's voice back into product decisions. What you'll do

  • Own positioning, messaging and narrative for our core product capabilities (GL, close management, revenue) , grounded in customer research, win/loss and competitive analysis.

  • Lead go-to-market for product launches: tiering, launch plans, internal readiness, launch content and cross-team coordination.

  • Build and maintain sales enablement (pitch decks, battlecards, objection handling, demo narratives) and run training with Sales and SDRs.

  • Own competitive intelligence for your area: track competitors, maintain battlecards and brief the field.

  • Partner with Product on roadmap input, naming, and pricing and packaging.

  • Partner with Growth on campaign messaging and offers, with Brand on the core narrative, and with Customer Marketing on proof points for launches.

  • Measure what you ship: enablement adoption, launch reach and pipeline influence, message testing.

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years in B2B software product marketing with end-to-end ownership of positioning and launches.

  • Experience in fintech or accounting software.

  • Sharp writing and storytelling; you make complex products simple without dumbing them down.

  • Comfort with research: customer interviews, surveys, win/loss and competitive teardowns.

  • Experience enabling a sales team, with a record of content they use.

  • A cross-functional operator: you run launches with Product, Sales, Customer Success and Marketing without formal authority.

  • Analytical enough to size segments, read pipeline data and prioritize.

You’ll thrive if you have

  • Comfort with ambiguity and speed over process: you've operated in environments with minimal process and built the process yourself, rather than expecting it to exist.

  • Fluency speaking to accountants and CFOs directly, not just marketing to them: comfortable getting into the weeds of accounting workflows (close, reconciliation, rev rec) well enough to spot what's actually differentiated versus what sounds like marketing speak.

  • Experience working directly with founders or executive leadership, translating technical or product ambiguity into a market story.

  • Self-sufficient and scrappy: you don't wait for product management to hand you a spec, you go find the answer yourself.

  • Comfortable managing multiple concurrent launches rather than a single tentpole moment.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup (Series B or earlier).

  • Experience running pricing and packaging changes.

  • Experience with usage-based or subscription billing models.
